The Akai EIE is a compact table-top USB audio and MIDI interface, which is optimized for project studios and portable recording. It has 4 audio in- and outputs to be able to work with almost every DAW or recording software. Of course, you can use it with Mac and PC. There is a standard USB connection with 3 more USB inputs, to use it as a USB hub. Every audio channel has a XLR / 6.3 mm combo jack with stable gain controller and a switch for Mic / Line / Guitar. Furthermore, there is a switchable, built-in 48 Volts phantom power to use condensator microphones. The Akai EIE has high-quality, nickel-plated connectors, analog VU-level meters and a solid aluminum housing. The headphone output, four monitor outputs as well as high-quality AD/DA converters complete the equipment of Akai EIE and thus provide realistic recording and playback.
