Alesis iO Dock

 

The Alesis iO Dock allows to integrate the Apple iPad perfectly in a studio environment or generally to use it for music applications. In fact the Alesis iO Dock is an audio / MIDI interface which holds the iPad slantly granting convienent view and operation. The Alesis iO Dock features combo inputs with switchable phantom power for microphones and instruments using the iPad for recording and a switchable input for guitar or bass in order to use effect and amp simulating apps. Also sequencer applications can be used with the Alesis iO Dock enabling MIDI connections via standard MIDI and USB connectors, which allows to play virtual instruments on the iPad as well. Of course this allows to control recording and DJ applications via MIDI and to output MIDI files to external sound engines. Additional control is granted by the assignable foot switch. Also the Alesis iO Dock provides a video output in order to transmit the display to an additional monitor, TV or projector.
