The Danelectro 56 Single Cutaway Red D is an upgraded reissue. Body and top of the Danelectro 56 Single Cutaway Red D consist of masonite, its bolt-on neck is made of maple and fitted with a rosewood fingerboard, which counts 21 frets. The headstock at the upper end of the Danelectro 56 Single Cutaway Red D has the shape of a dolphin's flipper. As pickups for the Danelectro 56 Single Cutaway Red D serve a Lipstick singe coil as well as a Lipstick humbucker. For those of you who don't know these pickups: the Lipsticks create a rockabilly and surf sound, such as Eddie Cochrane or the Beach Boys for example. Naturally, the pickups of the Danelectro 56 Single Cutaway Red D may be played either individually or combined due to a 3-way pickup selector.
