The Fostex NX5 A is an active, two-way nearfield monitor. The Fostex NX5 A has a 5" hyper radial woofer that uses "Radial Papermaking Technology" for natural, smooth reproduction. The 20mm magnesium dome tweeter of the Fostex NX5 A eliminates metallic characteristics and provides an ultra-fast high-frequency response. The UDR (Up/Down Roll) Tangential edge on the woofer eliminates unwanted resonance, while HP sound reflectors prevent standing waves in the enclosure. The Fostex NX5 A is powered by two separate amplifiers, one 60W and one 40W, to eliminate interference between the drivers. Overall output level control, as well as dedicated tweeter level control and a frequency range of 50Hz to 40kHz frequency range makes the Fostex NX5 A a great option for your nearfield monitoring needs.
