The Hughes & Kettner TubeMeister 18 Head is a small tube amp head with 18 Watts of power and has been developed primarily with regard to recording issues. Thus the Hughes & Kettner TubeMeister 18 Head features both a Red Box DI output and a power soak, draining the power down to 5, 1 and 0 Watts, enabling the user to record silently. The Hughes & Kettner TubeMeister 18 Head can also be used as a preamp, as you can run it with 0 Watts. The two channels of the Hughes & Kettner TubeMeister 18 Head, Clean and Lead, both employ their very own master and gain controls, the classic 3-band EQ works in combination with two 12AX7 preamp tubes and two EL84 poweramp tubes. A lead boost with a load of punch and sustain can be kicked in with a foot pedal. In addition, the Hughes & Kettner TubeMeister 18 Head features a serial FX loop.
