RME ADI-8 DS

 

The RME ADI-8 DS is an AD/DA converter featuring eight channels and remarkable features such as ICC (Intelligent Clock Control), SyncCheck, SyncAlign, TDIF/ADAT converter, Bit Splitter and a digital patchbay. The AD and DA sections of the RME ADI-8 DS either work independently or intelligently interlinked. The technology inside of the RME ADI-8 DS offers highly modern 24 bit converters with 128 times oversampling, resulting in 117 dB(A) tue dynamic range. Also, all digital inputs and outputs operate at full 24-bit resolution. Widely, the RME ADI-8 DS is mostly similar in construction to the ADI-8 PRO, yet with the additional attributes of the sampling rates of 88.2 and 96 kHz and a shiftable dither. The "DS" in the product name stands for Double Speed, which indicates the double clock frequency.
