The SPL Phonitor BLK is a high-end headphone with an innovative circuitry design. The SPL Phonitor BLK allows for the first time the directional imaging and stereo balance of speaker based monitoring which offers more realistic headphone mixing. As it features mono, L-R Solo as well as phase-reverse for every channel the SPL Phonitor BLK also provides controls for crosstalk and the speaker angle. Moreover the SPL Phonitor BLK has a dynamic range of more than 120 dB while the high-quality circuitry is shown by its extended frequency range from 10 Hz to 200 kHz. The two meters can be calibrated to + 6 dB and switched from VU- to PPM-style. The internal 120 Volts technique of the SPL Phonitor BLK uses the same SUPRA opamps of the SPL Mastering series which leads among others to 34 dB of possible headroom.
