Softube Trident A-Range

 

The Softube Trident A-Range is a plugin emulating the legendary Trident A-Range 4-band equalizer. This Equalizer was developed by Malcolm Toft and was used for productions of Queen, David Bowie's Ziggy Starlight, Elton John among others. Because only 13 A-Range consoles were built,  the time was ripe to create a realistic emulation of this special EQ for the digital studio, the Softube Trident A-Range Plugin is the astonishing result. Even original A-Range designer Malcolm Toft says, that Softube Trident A-Range "is an incredibly accurate software recreation of my original A-Range design". Like the original Softube Trident A-Range features, 4 bands as well as high and low-pass filters. The sound of the bands was often described as "colourful" and "musical" and this is how the Softube Trident A-Range plugin sound like.
