Teenage Engineering OP-1

 

Teenage Engineerings OP-1 is a synthesizer, sampler and controller in one portable device. Teenage Engineerings OP-1 offers eight synthesizer engines, several envelopes, effects and LFos to create sounds. Also Teenage Engineerings OP-1 is a sampler, which uses samples recorded on the integrated microphone, on the line-/microphone-input or by playing the keyboard. You can even take cuts of the local radio programm using the integrated FM radio of the Teenage Engineerings OP-1. For sampling Teenage Engineerings OP-1 uses a virtual 4-track tape recorder which also becomes an musical instrument featuring loops and reverse play e.g. Finally Teenage Engineerings OP-1 also works as an controller for audio software when plugged to a computer. At the same time Teenage Engineerings OP-1 is a USB mass storage and allows easy data transfer without need of drivers. But tough there are so many funcions in this small device, Teenage Engineerings OP-1 grants an intuitive and fast workflow based on the colour code of the different functions.
