Vienna Symphonic Library Vienna Ensemble Pro 4 is a Mixing- und Host-Software which allows to connect PCs and Macs in a network. The computers connect with an ethernet cable and Vienna Ensemble Pro 4 integrates the computers in the MIDI- and Audiosoftware of the host, without additional audio software installed on the connected computers. Vienna Ensemble Pro 4 supports not simply Vienna Instruments, but third-party plug-ins as well, like Native Instruments or Garritan e.g. Creating a master-and-slave-system Vienna Ensemble Pro 4 uses the resources of different computers for the arrangement on the host while up to 128 audio and 512 MIDI channels can be used by the slaves. In general Vienna Ensemble Pro 4 uses the whole capacity of the RAM unlike other systems. Another advantage of Vienna Ensemble Pro 4 is the preserve function, which preserves all instruments, effects and samples even when Vienna Ensemble Pro 4 is disconnected from the sequencer. When Vienna Ensemble Pro 4 is reconnected everything will be available instantly. As a bonus Vienna Ensemble Pro 4 includes Vienna Symphonic Library Epic Orchestra which is a excellent selection of symphonic ensemble and solo instruments of Vienna Symphonic Library.
