The Zildjian gen16 Crash - 18 Inch is not made of rubber or plastic like common e-drum systems, but real cymbals with a special hole structure. The silent, acoustic cymbal sound is taken by a pickup placed under the cymbal which transmits the signal to the DCP-unit (Digital Processing Cymbal Unit)in order to amplify the signal. The Sound of the Zildjian gen16 Crash - 16 Inch can be changed directly at the DCP-unit and furthermore 20 different presets are available. The combination of real tone pickup and real cymbal materials provides an incomparable sound and playing-feel.
